Took the Prius down to Gonio and Kvariati most days and spent almost nothing on fuel. One star off because there was no rear camera and the beach road parking teaches you to reverse into very small gaps.

Landed at BUS in heavy rain and the handover still took ten minutes under the canopy. The Forester had the tyres for it and we were on the boulevard before the next flight had unloaded.
We drove back east towards Tbilisi over two days and the Renegade held the climbs without fuss. Nothing at all was held on the card, which is why I booked here instead of at home.
Small Toyota for a week and the price did not move between the booking and the keys. Losing a star for the handover spot near the Old Town, which is on a street where stopping is awkward, so leave a few minutes more than you think.
It rained for three days straight and the road up to Mtirala National Park was running water in places. The AWD Crosstrek dealt with it, and at EUR 34 a day it cost less than one taxi up there.
Drove the coast south to Sarpi and back on the last morning, an easy hour with the sea beside you the whole way. Four stars because the wipers on an older Jeep smeared in the afternoon downpour, and the rain here is not gentle.
We took the coast road north to Kobuleti nearly every evening and the Ford Escape swallowed three adults, a pram and all the beach bags. No deposit sitting on the card either, just the rental.
